Check out the private colleges. Around here the more expensive schools don't have waiting lists, but all of the community/tech schools do.

you have to have an address in California, specifically in Riverside or San Bernardino county. so if you have relatives, or want to move you would have a good shot. is the 3.8 just in your pre-req's or overall. if your pre-req gpa is 3.8 then you should get in, i just got in with a 3.7
you may have to check into a bio-chem pre-req class they require, it is different than the organic chem and you may have to take that

There is no wait list here and they are now taking applications for the class to start in January. It is a seventh day adventist college, I am not SDA either. I love their program. I ended up here because I was frustrated with waiting lists also.

Only the private schools have room here. My school is a community college, but its really hard to get in. Last I heard, 1600 students are in the pre-clinical phase. And they only take 100 in the day program each fall and spring, then an add't 40 in the fall evening... Dunno what all the kids are going to do... no room!

Lincoln Memorial University, Harrogote, Tenn. I attend an ADN program at satellite location near Knoxville. I love the program, and it has a good reputation in the medical community around here. http://www.lmunet.edu

Riverside Regional Medical Center in Newport News, VA does not have a waiting list. It has a great reputation and they have an RN to BSN program also if you want to get a BSN. They have a full time day program as well as a part time night/weekend program. They accept students five times per year.

Prince George's Community College, Maryland. Its a GPA based entry program with no wait list. If you petition to get in, and you have a GPA as high as yours, your practically a shoe in to get in.

I don't believe we have a waiting list at our school. Admittance depends on GPA and a point system. If you have the points to get in then you do. Each year if varies slightly as to what points will get you in. I think there was about 250 of us that applied they took everyone that had 70+ points. That was about 65 of us. 56 made it to class. The point system intergrates your gpa (or high school transcript) your act or nln which ever one you took. and a few other things. I believe you got points if you were a resident of the state and if you were already in the health field (not sure about that one).
So not really a waiting list but you had to have the points

My school has no wait list, either. As long as you have the pre-requisites and a GPA of a 3.1 or higher. You can get in :).
