I have been getting calls from my school since graduation.I tell them that with 2 kids in college I need it more than they do since they are a private college and charge big $$ for tuition.I have no qualms about telling them no.

I get calls, and I haven't even graduated yet!!! I tell them they have enough of my money right now, and ask them to take me off their list since I'm still a student. Never works...

thank you for all your replies. nice to know that i am not alone. i feel somewhat bad because they use their students to make the calls. also, i graduated from two colleges, one in 1978 and one in 2000, so i get calls from both. guess i'll just keep politely declining to help. ty

I get mailings and calls from both my college AND my high school (private girls school). I usually tell them I went back to school and will give what I can after I graduate and start working. You're not alone.
