I was 22 (12½ years ago) when I graduated with my ASN. 17 years of school non-stop from Kindergarten to College graduation!!!! And I am NEVER going back, LOL!! I am happy with the degree I've got.

Assuming things go according to plan, I will graduate in December 2010 at the age of 32. I went back to school shortly after my son was released from the NICU in 2005. Since then, I have taken a class or two at a time. I could easily play the "coulda, shoulda, woulda" game, but if I really look at it, the reality is I want this more and am better prepared for it now than I was when I was younger. I have also had many life experiences that I would not have had if I had finished when I was younger.
I'm surprised to see so many young people saying they should have started earlier or that they're "getting old" now!

I had the same thought!
As I said on another similar thread: when I graduated at 37 I was far from the youngest or oldest in my class!

hi All,
I graduated as LPN in Jan 2006 @ 30, I intend to graduate as a RN in 2010 @ dun dun daaarrrr! 35. Qudos to all those that graduated after the age of 45. For me reading that reinforced "that theres lots of itme". Mind you just getting past the algebra/math part of any degree is a feat in itself!

i'm just into third year of four year degree programme in general nursing, and will turn 42 soon after graduating. it is soooo comforting to see that there are more of us 'golden oldies' studying and getting through the course!!

Hi all,
I'm in the 2 year Practical Nursing program in Ontario. I started when I was 17 (I have a late birthday), and I am expecting to graduate when I am 19.
