Zcoil or Dansko shoes?

I have a lot of foot, back and knee pain. I wear SAS Freetime shoes for work, but am thinking I need something higher end to help me hold up through long shifts.

Has anyone here with foot/back pain used Dansko or Zcoil shoes?

If so, did they make a difference in how you feel?

These shoes are pretty expensive, so I'd like to opinions on them before I lay down the $$$.

Thank you!

I like my Clarks :)

I swear by my Dansko's. After being on my feet for not too long, my feet just about kill me. With my Dansko's I do not even think about my feet. I wear them all the time. I highly recommend them. I wear the professional model.

I bought Z coils and was very disappointed, because the they were difficult to fit due to strange sizing. Then, the store where I bought them and the actual company would not take them back after they were worn once!!! Which is not that unheard of, but these were very expensive shoes after all, and I thought that was a very poor customer service policy. Just think, if I had been treated well by the company I would have told everyone about my postitive experience. But no...............

I am a devoted Birkenstock customer. I cannot wear anything else for more than one day without hurting. I tried some New Balance a few weeks ago-liked the looks a lot better, but had to go back to my Birkis for the comfort.

I have extremely flat feet -bad arches, a bad knee(several surgeries and and an achy hip @times. I bought the $95.00 Dasko white nursing clog with the covertable back strap(as our hospital requires at least a stap on the back of the shoe. It was the BEST investment ever! I do 12 hrs and as stated above, I never have to worry about my feet. I should have bought them way back in nursing school!!! I owned a pair of Cherokee Rockers -not so comfortable. And the pair I had before Dansko's were a pair of white (Roper) brand shoe. These were very comfortable and I do wear a pair casually for everyday, but they dont have the arch support like the Dansko's. The Dansko's are orthopaedically approved. Hope this helps.

I have plantar fascitis. I have worn Dansko but my feet still hurt after a few hours. I recently bought Klogs. They are awesome. I worked 2 12's and 2 8's in a row and my feet didn't hurt me once. There is a thick footpad in the shoe that works wonders. Good luck in your search.

Hi all....stopped at the shoe store today and tried on some Danskos...the professional model. AWESOME!!! Felt similar to my Birks, but maybe even a little better. I think I may go back Wednesday and buy the Danskos.

BOINNNNNGGGGG!!! What happens if you turn your ankle in one of the springy shoes. It seems very likely to happen seeing how they appear not very side stabe.

has anybody tried Merrell shoes? my feet has been hurting, tried a whole bunch of tennis shoes but nothing really worked, till i got introduced to Merrell shoes when i was in seattle but it was in black so, i can't wear it to work but found several styles in white in one of the nursing uniforms catalog.. hope you will find one that will work for you...
