So I been at my current job for about 2 months. Love the patients, and pace of subacute but don't care for the facility.

Sooo.... I have two interviews next week both for parttime. One is a facility and one is home health ( two days during the week and no weekends).

****Keep in mind that I will be starting my last semester of RN school in August so the flexibility seems nice.

Any thoughts ?

Go for it, hope it works out for you:)

I have always worked more than one job and right now have two part-time positions one is weekend option with full time health benefits and one per-diem which pays the big money. I get plenty of hours and I'm mostly able to remain on the fringe of the drama. For a new grad seeing more than one perspective on nursing is invaluable, imo. :)

Don't somehow be scheduled the same day at two different jobs!!! Also you can't give one job your availability until you hear from the other job. These are just some situations that come up with nurses with two jobs, but they may not apply to your situation.

Specializes in Acute Rehab, Med/surg Pediactrics.

Are you sure the home health is no weekends? trust me your gonna be asked or required to do at least one weekend a month coverage good luck to you.

I have set days in a permanent job non nursing, and work agency/casual as my second job and love it. If I dont feel like being a nurse, i can take time off from that and do etra shifts in my permanent job. I book my nursing work around my permanent job. You can make it work for you but you need to have all the information available. I do nursing agency because that gives me the big money.

I'm sure. For this particular case they only need a parttime nurse and another nurse takes the case the other days of the week.
