Have you ever been inspired? WHO has inspired you the most? This was a hard question for me to ponder, and then decide upon. I have been inspired by alot of people: Yuri Gagarin, Michael Faraday, Malcom X, Galileo Galilei, Enrico Fermi, Bruce Lee, Florence Nightingale, Robert Oppenheimer, Madonna, David Bowie etc.

If I had to choose one person who inspired me the most in my life, it would be Alessandro Volta. Imagine 200 years ago - people didn't have a clue about the human body - stuff we take for granded bigtime today. No one could even tell you what makes a human move. But then came Volta. On one afternoon, during a thunderstorm, he noticed that frogs legs that were hanging on a metal wire moved during the lightning. Volta took that observation at face value and now we know that nerve impulses are electrical and chemical, and not mystical. Volta also took it a step further and proved that electricity can be stored in chemicals, and he invented "the battery" which changed life on earth just a little.

Who is your greatest inspiration???

Good thread ??? Mario,

somebody who inspires me is me, when I finally realized that I is me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

make sense,

micro hope so,

if not, micro know

Hmm I would say the list is long on who inspire me. Ghandi, Mother Theresa, Galileo, Ben Franklin, Martin Luther King jr, my parents, Florence Nightengale, and the list goes on.

I suppose to some degree I think the group destinys child inspires me. Empowering women to be all that they can be. Not a man hater just to love ourselves.

Yes, Ghandi, Galileo...awesome!

Harriet Tubman

Well, hard to put into words without sounding bad - but based on your posts before I thought you were some older, graying, middle-aged man who was very conservative. I like conservatives, you see, but when I saw your pic it just blew me away. You look like young 30's, smart-a$$ kind of, but cute and probably a joy to your patients and staff.

Maybe your views and how you express them are just so......formed and articulate that it could ONLY come from an older, wise owl. :)

I don't know whether to say thanks or drop dead!!! LOL

Conservative? That has never been an adjective used to describe anything about me... in fact, my problem is that I am the most LIBERAL person I know.

The picture was taken a week before my friend Ella retired. She was a phenomenal nurse! We put together a photo album for her retirement. She always asked why I never brought in photos [you know how most people do from holidays, vacations, etc.], and I always told her that I don't show up on film! So, I had to let them get a picture of me for the photo album.

Don't feel bad though, one day I will be an older graying, middle-aged man. :)
