Nursing student here. In our last clinical rotation (psych), the instructors had us write a journal each week and include an entry on how we "took care of ourselves" each week. I was curious what you do for yourselves "in the real world" to keep yourself sane?

I'm having a review classes for this coming June NLE examination in our Country.

The 3 R's...reading, writing and riding. First takes my mind away, second helps me vent, third helps me blow off steam (and get home!).

I love to hike, so I hike some of the trails around here with my dog. I also love to ride the motorcycle with my husband, so on my weekends off we hit the road and go exploring.

My passion on off-time is hunting...I'm an avid hunter and have enjoyed being in the wilderness since I was a child...we do a lot of camping, hunting, and fishing, and I go hunting or fishing on my off days too!

"What have you done for me lately....ohh ohh ohh yea...!" Sorry thread title has me singing 80's Janet Jackson.

I'll be going on a cruise in 2 weeks so I'll be meditating and not even thinking about the start of Nursing school and the sweet stress I'll be having in the next 2 years.

Congratulations to all the people who have recently quit. It's been 6 mths for me and I'm loving it!

playing with my son is huge stress relief. having a pint with my husband. pedicures. naps. the gym (when i can get there). a good book. it is so hard to find time and money to do little things for yourself, so hard to justify. all the moms out there know where i'm coming from.
