hi all,

i have been a cna for 10 years, and now i am a lpn. what happens to my cna certificate? do i get to keep it along with my license, do i have to have my name removed from the registry, or do i just let it expire?

I let mine expire.

No sense in keeping it when you have your license. Let it expire. I did.

Let it expire. The LVN license allows you to do all that a CNA can do plus more. No need to pay more fees.

I think you can no longer be a CNA once you've become a LPN. No action is needed on your part regarding you cna cert because it is now useless. Funny you should ask that, coz as soon as I passed my boards, the thought of my cna cert never entered my mind again.

You can continue to be a CNA, in most states, if you wish. I let mine expire.

Funny You Ask My Cna License Is Expiring In A Month, When You Get Your Lpn Your Cna License Goes No Where, Unless You Let It Expire Which I Will Be Doing. Your Pn/vn License Expires When You Get Your Rn.
