I was following a debate on another thread about an unrelated matter when one poster mentioned that those engaged in the debate had "too much time on our hands"...
That hit home...Hard:o
Maybe it's not that I have too much time on my hands. After all, as I sit here writing this, I've got a chart audit form to edit, an education plan for Lap chole patients to write, an ACLS class to teach this afternoon, minutes for a Night Shift Safety meeting to transcribe, a grant proposal for back safety equipment to complete, etc. etc. etc.
I bring Allnurse up at work and hit it for short bursts of "sanity" between the other things I do. Sometimes at night I sacrifice an hour of sleep to check up on forums I'm interested in. If something's driving me nuts, I write and submit a humorous story about it. I guess it's not "too much time", it's lousy time management skills.:imbar
Anyway, to the "too much time" poster, I needed that reality check. :kiss I'll try a little harder to behave myself from here on in.

I don't think it's "Too much time on my hands" ...or anyone else's for that matter. I think that it's an abundance of creativity combined with a wicked sense of humor flowing forth on these forums.
This board is many things to all of us. A place to network, gather information, & compare notes with other nurses. It's also a place where, in the appropriate thread, we can cut loose & kick up our heels a bit...not always possible to go out & have a good time when the wee ones are in bed...

Some days it's sanity I find here, other days it's not. Always it's a touch of reality that can get lost when you spend too many hours trapped in an office at work.

I love the Bulletin Boards, if I don't have time for a real break, I just hop on the puter and read some notes from other nurses and it helps me get back on track. I am like some of the other posts.....I have sooooooo much to do and so little time but I get in her and read the posts. BTW I better get back to my work

Hmmm... well, I guess when someone has the time and inclination to keep track of how much time I spend on here... well, then maybe they are the ones with way too much time on their hands.
Come here as you please.... I'll be here waiting
