Hi Everyone!

I am brand new to allnurses.com but I think I have done a sufficient amount of research and can't seem to find any definitive information regarding salaries in the NY/NJ area for late 2010/early 2011. It seems like all the information out there is for 2009/early 2010. I was just wondering what new graduates were being offered, and if you could specify what hospital/speciality you work in, that would be great. Thanks so much and good luck to everyone who's currently job searching!

Hudson Valley Area: $26-$28/hr for RN

That's all I know

Long Island: $35.~ for RN/BSN and $3.5~ for night differential

NJ is 63-66k for BSNs new grads - magnet vs community obviously factor in payscale

Gotta get that BSN! I didn't go thru all the hell of nursing school to make less than I made in sales.

Absolutely! I already have a BS in Psychology and Business but am applying for an accelerated BSN for May or September 2012. I hear it's very tough to get jobs in this area without the BSN, so I figure it's worth it.
