Question on years experience

  1. Hi,

I am registered both in Canada and US, and moved from Toronto to California a couple of years ago.

In Canada, all of my international years of experience were credited.

In the US, they did not credit 2 of those years (since I worked in a small clinic those two years and the place was not deemed large enough).

Is this the norm for the US?

There's a lot of variation in "normal" from one employer to another. It's not uncommon for acute care positions to consider only acute care experience, though.
