Yesterday my NM offered me an out of the blue pay raise of a dollar a hour if I would work 3 days a week instead of the two days a week. I said, "no, but for 3 dollars a hour I would consider it, make it 4 dollars a hour and I will say yes right now". We will see.

Wow, a whole dollar an hour just might be enough to get you into the next tax bracket up, in which case you just might take home less per hour!

hmmm, interesting. our pay raise this year was .69/hr; cna's got .25/hr. and the don got "thousands of dollars" for a christmas bonus last year. we got a $20 gift certificate for a supermarket, IN THE MEAT DEPT. ONLY!!! :angryfire
When I reread my original post I became concerned that it comes across as a bit arrogant. It just so happens that it is an accurate sum of my feeling on the situation. I am perfectly happy working two days a week. Occasionally I do a three day week and every time I do three I feel really drained. It would take some serious money to move me out of my comfort zone. NOt to mention the fact that they might bring back those bonuses they were giving out during the flu epidemic. If I wait and do that extra day for a bonus I could be making an extra fifty bucks a shift.
