Nursing student getting married

Need some advice, on a less serious note... We are students in Nursing one. One of our co-students is getting married this week, right in the middle of exams! We want to give her "something borrowed, something blue, something old, something new" just for the fun of it and take some stress off of her. Does anyone have any ideas, relating to nursing items, to give to her....?

A foley catheter...uhm, not for the "used" item though.

For something old you could find a vintage nursing pin or something from the "old school" nursing. If no time on ebay, check out antique/vintage stores.

A blue pen (not blue ink) or something useful to use everyday at work. OR a blue faced watch.

New could be anything really.

Borrowed ??? Maybe you could pretend an item is used. Put a tag on it to return to "pt in room 111" or someone who was a big PITA during clinicals.

Just throwing out whatever comes to mind.

Let us know what you came up with.

Just wanted to wish your friend good luck with her marriage. I originally was supposed to get married smack dead in the middle of med surg this April. However, I decided to wait ! However, I give props to anyone that can get married in the middle of nursing school.

great ideas! keep them coming...
