Nurses General Nursing

I am really interested in attending nursing conferences for CEU's. I am not having much luck finding a good listing on the internet. Any suggestions? Mostly interested in the east coast, but willing to travel. I don't know why this is so hard? Thanks, Chelly

I don't know what your specialty is, but I'm always getting flyers for the Trends in Trauma and Trends in Critical Care that are held every year in Philadelphia, through MCP. They're having a conference the end of October for 3 or 4 days.

The Emergency Nurses' Association is holding their annual Scientific Assembly in mid-Sept (around the 14). Check out their web site @ ENA.org for more info.

Specializes in ORTHOPAEDICS-CERTIFIED SINCE 89.

Most of the journals provide at least one CEU offering an issue.

Try Springnet.com, for some.

I get a lot through the National Assocn. of Ortho. Nurses.(naon)

Once you get on a mailing list you will get MANY offers every week. CEUs are fairly expensive. I think I figured about $10 per CEU hour.

Specializes in Vents, Telemetry, Home Care, Home infusion.

Agree with Cat Lady. Can't miss by attending a "Trends" Conference---they are presented by MCP/ Hahneumann University and often co-sponsored with specialty organization. Have attended them periodically since the late 70's.

Other great CEU offerings presented by American Healthcare Institute. I've enjoyed over 10 of their programs. Find them @

Specializes in ER, Hospice, CCU, PCU.

Just got my Advance for Nurses in the mail. There is a Job Fair scheduled for September 25th at the Baltimore Convention Center from 0800 to 1700.

There will be multiple seminars with the potential of gaining up to 20 CEU's. The Job Fair is free and the CE seminars cost $35 for all. You can get more information at http://www.advanceforNURSES.com

Hope this helps:)
