Hello All,

I am applying for the nurse corps loan repayment program 2016 cycle, I just spoke to a representative who told me the application cycle opens up tomorrow. For those of you who have applied any tips advice etc.? I am very excited about this opportunity because I have an outrageous amount of loans.

I applied last cycle and was unsuccessful even thought my debt to income ratio should have pushed me over the top. My advice: don't get your hopes up. Apply as early as possible. First come, first served in other words.

What was your facility's score? Yes I am trying to get mine in ASAP just waiting on my employment verification.

I applied last year...but due to issues with it saying my social security number was already in the system I couldn't complete my application until 2 days before the program closed. I think I was at the bottom of the pile and didn't even get looked at. I literally JUST submitted my application so I hope this year I get a better chance. I work at a Critical Shortage Facility with a score of 18.

What is your debt to income percentage? I submitted mine yesterday I know the deadline isn't until February 25, but I wanted to make sure it was submitted ASAP. My facilities score is 21 and me debt to income percentage is 260%. So I'm really hoping I get it.

I believe I am Tier 2 based on my income. Last year I was Tier 1...but I saw that Tier 2 people were getting funded. I am not certain, but it appears that they sift through the applications in the order they get them. I (and others) thought they got all of the applications and then took the Tier 1 applicants until the monies had been exhausted. I don't really know. I am just hoping that I get picked this year!

Anyone have any issues transferring their loans from the FSAID page? I am trying to import my loans from the U.S. Department of Education's National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS) directly into the online application, but I click on the green access your loans button and i am transferred to the FSAID page and log into the source page it just get this , and my loans do not transfer.

UPDATE Just heard back:

You are probably receiving the error , due to the overload of everyone using the system. I would advise to continue to try and use the it. If for some reason that you continue to have the problem with the download, you may have to submit them manually.
