Hello everyone,

I am new to the post. Over the years I have viewed many discussions, and found the advise very helpful. I am in the process of job hunting and it's pretty frustrating. I resigned from a verrrrrrrrrrrry stressful job, and now I am in a difficult position. I have sent out resumes after resumes. I am very well educated but the jobs that interest me many times require a masters. It's upsetting because everyone says there are so many options in nursing but they are very limited without a masters. I have even applied to non-nursing jobs but this is all I know. I look at all my friends that completed other degree programs and they are so happy and successful. It took a lot hard work and dedication to get here but I am yet to find a job I really enjoy. People say come on how could a nurse be unemployed well, if you do not prefer bedside care you can be unemployed. Thanks for helping me to vent.

What type of jobs are you seeking? There certainly is a lot out tehre for a nurse without a masters, but we need a little direction to advise you

I really enjoy research, health promotion, consulting, and administration, planning events, project management, working with adolescents, education. I would love to teach. I enjoy working in a team and independently. My ideal job would allow me to start on time and end the day on time. I have been job hunting for 4mos with a few interviews. I really love doing projects. My problem I dislike routines.

I am an experienced nurse. It's hard not to give up. I love working it makes me feel valued and a sense of accomplishment. When i am not working I feel useless. Nursing is my second career my first was business. I feel so stuck like I'm never going to find a job thats satisfactory. I have financial obligations but it's hard for me to do something I dislike. What am I going to do?
