Negative titers even after several vaccines??

Okay fellow nurses, this is a health question related to myself. I thought someone might be able to help. I had the MMR vaccine as a child... About 4 years ago when I was pregnant, my doctor had blood drawn and I was told that I would need an MMR booster after I have my son. So thats what happened. Then, in August of this past year, I began work in a hospital and they also drew blood and their results were negative for the MMR and they made me get ANOTHER booster. I started a new job in a different hospital this month and they drew my blood and got inconclusive results for the MMR which means neither positive or negative so they made me have my blood drawn again and am awaiting the results as we speak but I expect them to be negative as well.. Why could this be??? It's kind of a scary thing. I have done a little research but haven't really found much to be honest. I had someone suggest to get my IgA and IgG levels checked but thats all I've had to go on. What do you guys think? Anyone have similar issues?

What has your primary healthcare provider told you? Make sure you discuss with your PCP your exact history regarding MMR vaccines/boosters and titer results. The facility should be able to provide copies of the documentation. Only your PCP who knows your history can accurately advise you as per the ToS we cannot offer any medical advice or opinions.

I had measles when I was a child. When I became a nurse I also had a negative titer. My dr. had me have an MMR vaccine, another titer, still negative. He then had me get a booster, same result. The dr. then wrote me a statement which stated I had recieved 2 MMR's and that I was protected. So you aren't the only one. No one seems to know why. I'm always worried about my Hep B, hope no one draws a titer for that. http://www.immunedisease.com/about-pi/types-of-pi/igg-subclass-deficiency.html

From working with several people with the same problem, you should see an immunologist, they can guide you the right way. And if you don't have titers to something, you really aren't too protected.

I'm the exact same way. I found out when I was in the hosp having my first child. I KNEW I'd had all of my immunizations as a child, but they said I was negative and gave me the MMR. I had another baby the following year, same thing happened. A year later I was in having baby #3 and they tried to give it to me AGAIN. I refused that one. When I went to nursing school I was negative and had to get ANOTHER MMR. I just don't show immunity and never will.
