LMP, not last mestral period

Okay so I've been in orientation for 2 weeks now and I keep seeing LMPs ordered for patients in the AM, however, no one seems to know (at least my preceptor, she's pretty new too) what this is because they are not responsible for it, all they have to do is order it on the computer and..... some mysterious person takes care of it.... Does anyone know what type of Lab or procedure, screen or scan this "LMP is? or at least what it stands for? thanks.

Is it some type of metabolic panel?

Look up the lab profiles for your patient, and it will show you the exact name of the test. Or just phone the lab and ask them.

You're right, I think I can look it up on the printed requisitions. I'll do that as soon as I get there, and if I don't see it there then, i'll call lab.

Maybe Limited Metabolic Panel (like BMP)?
