LPN's can work in the OR and telemetry in hospitals. I say this because I work with an LPN on a telemetry floor and there is an LPN in the OR on this board.

So, the answer is yes.

Specializes in critical care; community health; psych.

We use LPNs in hospice.

Specializes in Day Surgery, Agency, Cath Lab, LTC/Psych.

I've worked with LPNs in Same Day Surgery, Psych, and even Cath Lab.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

I am an LPN/LVN who has worked in the specialties of psych nursing and rehabilitation nursing.

LPNs are also utilized in day surgery, hospice, home health, public health, subacute nursing, med-surg nursing, oncology, and other specialties. However, LTC and geriatrics are the waves of the future for LPNs.

I hope to work for somebody who throws lots of money at me. Is that a specialty?

Specializes in Peds, ER/Trauma.

I used to work with LPN's when I worked in pediatrics, have also seen LPN's in some ER's I've worked in- taking care of the more "minor care" type patients.
