Is it legal for your boss to dictate where you poop?

As in, there are two employee restrooms, and the boss has requested that if you're going to poop, you should use the restroom in the "dirty utility area" because of odor. And if you DO poop in the non-poop bathroom, you'll be "talked to."

I looked up breakroom law just for the ***** and giggles, in california laws says an employee has to be able to use the nearest bathroom. Poop is protected!

I can't see how that would be legal. Someone can just walk in on you can't they? Its not like you have some sense of privacy when a coworker can just enter the code and open the door.
