Yep....enemas too

I've seen it done. Only once though. It was a bisacodyl supp.

Dulcolax or glycerin suppositories, but more commonly I've seen fleet enemas given.

yes,ileostomy or colostomy. suppository ,enema . when pt with stoma needs something ,that's how you give it

Yes, several times. Kinda freaked me out the first time, but actually the surgeon who had created the ostomy was present and walked me through it. This was good because it was an ASA supp that needed to be given daily.

It is not an issue at all, you can administer anything there just as you would place it in the rectum, same procedures are followed.
