I have my BSN. I'm thinking about grad school. In your experience, what is a better route in the end: getting my DNP or just getting my MSN? I am wanting to save money so I know the MSN route would be better but I'm aftaid I'll want to eventually get my DNP so I would think going straight through would be a better plan.

What kind of graduate degree are you planning to pursue? Advanced practice role? Which of the four? Or Education? Informatics? Leadership/ Management?

You and every other bedside nurse is thinking the same thing. In 20 years I wonder if there will be any RNs left lol

I've met plenty of nurses who want to stay at the bedside!

Well what is your goal in going to grad school? That's going to have some influence on which degree is most appropriate to support your career plans.
