I recently purchased a movie called Florence Nightingale starting Jaclyn Smith...did anyone else saw this movie and what is your opinion,thanks.

Florence only worked as a nurse for a short stint and her nunnery tactics don't help us much today. I'd rather see one about Mary Seacole.

Florence Nightingale elevated both the nursing profession & patient care quite extensively.

I just found that movie too! I didn't think it was too bad. It showed how little nurses were thought of and how horrible hospital conditions were in England at that time. I felt it was worth a view.

I was able to rent it from Netflix DVD. It was not bad but I felt like a lot of her story was left out I would love to see a linger mini-series about her and everything she did.
