I know this isn't the right place but I know there are some very skilled and intelligent people on this site who could probably give me some advice.

My mom has heart disease. She had a heart attack February 2013. She takes numerous meds (Beta-Blocker, Statin, Aspirin, Gabapentin and Metformin). Her doctor told her that anytime she has a headache or mildly sick, the only thing she can take is Tylenol.

Yesterday evening she started getting sick. She has been running a fever of 101 to 101.5 off and on since yesterday. I first gave her two tylenols tabs (500 mg) and it went down a bit. The fever/aches/sore throat came again and I gave her Coricidin HBP. That didn't seem to work well and not for long her fever was back again at 101.5.

I took her too a clinic because this morning and they confirmed what I expected it to be-Flu. We also discovered she had a UTI that they said "was just starting". They gave her an antibiotic and told her to keep taking either the Coricidin HBP or Tylenol.

I gave her the antbx and the tamiflu simultaneously and 1 hour later I gave her the Coricidin. It seems like none of the meds are working. I checked on her an hour later and her temp is 101.5. Her pulse is 100 bpm and her respirations is 32. When i listened to her bp i hear the first sound at 160 then it disappeared and reappeared at 140 disappeared and reappeared around 130 etc..

I'm am afraid and I have no idea what to do. She doesn't want to go to the ER just yet. She wants to take Tylenol because it helped a lot yesterday. But I can't give it to her for the next four hours because she already took the Coricidin which has the acetaminophen in it.

Can someone please give me advice? Please

It's against TOS to ask for or provide medical advice. We are not able to assess your mother, and how can you verify that anyone responding on an anonymous message board is truly who they say they are?

We cannot give medical advice as per the TOS.

Since we can't give medical advice, your best bet would be to consult medical advice by calling primary MD or going to the ED.

Call your mom's physician/ primary health care provider for advice. You have no way of knowing who is responding on an anonymous message board and what credentials they may or may not have. Without access to full records, labs and an in person physical exam it's not prudent for any licensed healthcare professional unfamiliar with your mother to offer advice other than call her PCP. Good luck
