Advice on how to word resume

I have been applying for jobs and put my title of RN supervisor on my resume. However one of my friends said when she went for an interview they doubted her skills because she was a supervisor and said she doesn't have patient care experience. I'm wondering if I should change my resume, but I do have a lot of hands on patient care experience. When the cart nurses are passing meds I am the one who assesses all changes of conditions and ensures proper care is being given. Any thoughts?

State that directly in your resume. Do it first in your cover letter. I don't think it would be a problem. Good luck!

Has all your experience been as a supervisor, or do have bedside experience where you are the patients' primary nurse?

Either way, on my resume, there is a paragraph explaining job responsibilities after each position, current and past. I have seen some people do it in a bullet point format, others more narrative. For example: "As an RN supervisor I am responsible for assessing patient prior to the [med aide/LPN/etc.] administering medications to the patients, and then assessing each patient's response to the medications. In addition I am responsible for......"
