This is for nursing assistants who perform the duties as outlined by many clinical based hospital or nursing home educational based programs.

This poll is also not meant to be used as way to say I really do not have it so bad and in someway cause contentment.

Specializes in Med/Surg.

in maryland cna's make anywhere from 8.00-16.00 depending on experience

Specializes in Home health, psych, sitter.

In Las Vegas, CNA's make $11 per hour. Nursing homes, maybe $10 per hour. The agencies will pay you anywhere from $10-$17 per hour. You choose.

I work at a nonprofit LTC in Houston and make $6.90/hr. At hospitals, pay is about $10/hr. I've been trying for months to get a hospital job, but with no luck whatsoever.

I live in Denver Co does anyone know what start out pay is?

Specializes in Peds/Dialysis.

The place I work the ward secretaries rake in more than the CNAs??!!

Specializes in LTC, Subacute Rehab.

Central CA - I started at $9.24 / hr, and got a raise to $9.71 / month after I got my licence.

However, with dingy rooms-for-rent going for $600 - 700 / month... it's not enough.

$9-11 in San diego

At my nursing home in Ohio I started out @ $10.25/hr three years ago and now make $11.30/hr. My friend only started out just above $9/hr three years ago. My cousin has been an aide for less than a year and started out @ $11.30/hr just out of school at my job. So I would have to say for Ohio its $9-$11.

Specializes in CNA without the pay.

:yeah:

I just found out today that I will be starting my CNA training shortly. When I pass the state boards I will be making over $13 an hour!! Which is sad to say but the most I have ever made at a job.

Specializes in Case mgmt., rehab, (CRRN), LTC & psych.

Well Hi again. In the past 2 years my base pay has gone from $10 per hour to $11.15. At least it's going up! Of course gas and food have taken care of any increase. Oh yeah, where are the $35 CNA jobs?! They aren't in sunny Southwest Florida, that's for sure.
