Congratulations angelac1978! Don't mind the pay because once you get that 'free' training under your belt, and gain some experience working as a CNA, you can look for better options of pay at other places that pay more. Agencies pay about ten dollars per hour (or more) in some places. If you move to another state at any time, they may pay more as different regions of the country have different payscales for CNAs, LPNs, and RNs alike. Hang in there and do well! I'll be pulling for you! :kiss :balloons:

a few weeks ago I posted a message about my local hospital offering free training for CNAs. Well I went for my interview yesterday (along with about a million other people) and this morning I got the phone call that I was chosen to continue on with the selection process! WooHoo! I go monday to take a math and reading test which should be no problem to pass and then the drug screen, background check, physical, etc. The rate of pay is kind of crappy though, $6.82/hour so I will probably have to go parttime at my current job while going through this training so I can pay my bills! Thanks for letting me brag a little bit :)
