General Micro and A&P 2

My school actually has a policy against letting people take micro and a&p together as the general feeling is that it is too hard. I managed to bypass this policy, and I got A's in both classes...I guess it depends on how easy you find biology classes.

A&PII can be hard. I have taken it and there is a lot of information . I took it in the summer though donor may be less difficult but I stilled pulled off an A. My advice is if you have an EXCELLENT memory, take micro , A&PII, and he other two classes. Psyh 101 and human growth and development aren't hard at all. But if you struggle with memory I advise to take anatomy sooner with psych and math

can you atleast try to take one class? also does the nursing program your applying for have a summer break? if so take micro then. ijs.... it may be better that way.

Yes they have summer classes. I'm applying for NS after the first of the year for fall 2013 and plan on taking advanced human physiology summer 2013 by itself because that's what my nursing advisor recommended. General micro I can take any time after A&P 1 it just has to be completed prior to the last semester of NS. I could do it summer of 2014. I have a pretty good memory but I'm so nervous to take micro with any pre req's since my program is on a points system and my advisor said I need all A's and depending on everyone else applying a I might be able to get away with one B. I don't want to mess it up but then I thought how hard would it be to do micro with nursing classes? So maybe I am better off to just save it for a summer course. I also need to take either public speaking or interpersonal communications. I thought about doing one of those either this fall or spring 2013 but while I don't think either would be horribly hard for me, again I'm so worried about pulling those A's in pointed classes. : \

I don't know how ur school specifically works when it comes to a high GPA and entering the nursing program but for mine all you need is A's (because no one likes B's or lower) in the five pre nursing courses which are both A&P's, psychology 101, human growth & development, and ENG 101. As for micro, nutrition, ENG 151, etc..., you don't need A's to get into the RN program IF your a resident of the county the CC is in and you will be progressing directly from LPN-RN; again, that's the rules of my community college but I don't know if that holds true for every nursing program. But before you get ahead of yourself, take A&PI first to get a feel of it because if you don't have a good memory, you may not do well.

identical decision scores and a decision must be made on which is selected, the

tie breaker points will be applied in the order they are listed above until a

difference in decision score occurs.

4. The number of students admitted is determined by availability of clinical

resources and may be adjusted without advance notice.

Everything is done on a point system and I believe they have 60 RN seats open each semester (don't quote me on that though cause my brain can get foggy sometimes LOL). I was told that most if not all entering into their program go in with straight A's and fairly high TEAS scores. My nursing advisor planned it out for me to do part time the first 2 semesters. So I'm taking I think 11 credit hours fall semester and I think some where around 10 credit hours for the spring. I've just been unsure of how to work in co-req classes I have to take. As much as I would like to enjoy 1 summer off during my schooling years, after reading what other people have to say about micro I'm thinking it probably would be best to just do it by itself during the summer. Micro I will just need a C or better (it's not part of my pre req's for their pointed system) but I don't like to just skim by because I feel like I'm going to miss out on learning something I might need later. I don't know, sometimes I think I make things harder on myself than they need to be. LOL
