Congrats about getting in! Awesome! I am applying in May for the fall. If you don't mind sharing, what were your stats? Like gpa, teas score, do you already have a bachelors? I am just so anxious to see if I am "ok!" :) Again, congrats!

congratulations! i will also be in the st. joe's program starting in may.:yeah:

InspiredRN - Good luck to you for Fall first off! I'm sure you'll do just fine. I do not have a bachelors degree. My gpa is a little over 3.5. I'm hoping my COM270 grade will boost it to a 3.7. I don't remember what my TEAS scores were. I will look those up later today and post them for you. Hang in there and don't stress yourself out!!!

GCUJen - Congrats to you!!! Woohoo I'm so excited and scared and nervous all at the same time. Do you know how many are in our class? Maybe we'll get some others on here to reply. Are you taking your COM270 now? I am in the PVCC online course and I have to say I'm really liking the class. I am sure we will be meeting pretty soon for orientation. May will be here before we know it!!

I feel the same way! There will be 30 in our cohort. I took COM270 last semester with ---- on campus at PVCC along with PSY230 (stats). Then Patho and Ethics at GCC. Our COM class was broken into four groups with five people in my group. Four of us that were in my group were accepted to the St Joe's fast track! I thought that was pretty amazing. Who would have thought 12 weeks would be so short and yet take SO long!

Well I am trying not to stress! I am graduating from ASU in May. So my counselor said I can apply with as a 2nd degree student on my app. My gpa for my undergrad degree from ASU is 3.84. But my pre req gpa for GCU is around 3.33 to 3.5 area. So I am hoping my lower gpa will be 'ok' since I will have already have a bachelors...I hope so at least! Super exciting for you guys! I wish I could be starting in the summer!

InspiredRN - Here are my TEAS V scores: Math - 80 and Reading - 76.2. Not great but they got me through!! :)

Quick question, is the St. Joe's hospital site a day program or is it a night/weekend program? I am trying to figure out schedules and which one I should put down on the app

Wow...sorry for the delay in response!! I didn't get a notification on your post....Anyway, St Joe's is a day program. The Jan 2011 start had a night/wknd option at SHC and somewhere in Mesa. Not sure what other night options they will offer.

Oh it's ok! And yes I was planning on doing a night/wk end program but this past week I have realized I have to do the day program. Even if that means I am driving at rush hour...So that's my new plan! Since I only knew primarily about the night/wk end program, is the day program 2 days 8-5, then a clinical day?

We haven't gotten the schedule yet, but when they put it out, I'll let you know what it looks like. Orientation is Apr 20, I hope they put it out sooner and don't wait until then!!

GCUJen - Have you taken your cpr course? If so, where did you take it?

@BSkinner,

How were you able to take the communications class at PVCC? I was told if the class was not complete by the application deadline it had to be taken at GCU (which = $2000) out of pocket. Was anyone else told this? I am a 2nd degree student who has never previously taken classes at GCU and was also accepted at St. Joes. Any help on this is greatly appreciated! :)
