Hey everyone!!
I am applying to GCU for the Fall Fast Track program at the AT Still campus, but I heard it is super hard to get in as a transfer, especially at the AT Still campus. Wanted to reach out and see if there are any other GCU transfer hopefuls? Wondered if we could compare stats, tips, desired campuses, etc. :) I am just so nervous!
I'm so sorry @MakKatrina, I can't believe your advisor didn't mention anything to you. After I found this out I didn't even bother applying and was so mad because GCU was the only school I was looking to apply for too. But, I hope for your sake maybe a few transfers will slide in!
So you guys know about this long time ago?? and NO he didn't say anything about this! The only thing he told me was this fall might be competitive because summer classes were cancelled, but he never mention anything about transfer students. I remember talking to him almost everyday through email to keep me updated...and the last time I called him he told me that my application is complete and all I have to do is wait for the official email.
I've known since the beginning of May. I never took my application out, I just continued to pursue CEP. I basically applied for both knowing that GCU will not workout.
Do you know other nursing program that still take applicants? I know it's already too late, but I'm just desperate to find plan B right now. I can't just sit here for another sem doing nothing. and can you tell me exactly what your advisor told you?
I know that most post secondary schools have more start dates but they're incredibly expensive. This was the email I got:
Due to the number of GCU students who are qualified to apply for the nursing program we will not be accepting any direct transfer students into the program this fall.
I understand this is discouraging, but some options are to take at least 3 classes at GCU to increase your chances to get into the program. You could take University foundations, Christian worldview and global health issues. Taking these classes do not guarantee you acceptance it would increase your chances. I

I know private colleges are too expensive. I just don't know what to do. My advisor never said anything about this and I been exchanging emails with him since Jan. Right now I'm praying for miracle. thank you for all the info though!!
Sorry, I have not been on here in a while. My advisor said that the nursing admin said that they will not have room for transfers, so to apply other places. He gave me the option of taking classes in the summer for possible admittance in the spring. He did say there may be a slight slight chance for top applicants (4.0 and 95 HESI) last minute, like to fill in the extra spaces if people decide not to go at the last minute. They were still taking applicants though, probably just in case. I cannot believe no one told you this.

Yeah Wednesday was the deadline
I'm sorry!! But you should still contact a nursing advisor at one of the maricopa schools so that you can get started on any classes that you need for the next application dates in February. You have to attend a nursing info session before applying for their program and then you have to attend a CEP infosession before you can apply for CEP. I know it sounds far away but you gotta do what you gotta do.
