Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

look forward to hearing from yall

my financial meeting was yesterday...9250 per semester. I got 7k in GCU scholarships though (presidential scholarship). Still, prob gonna have about 20-30k in student loan debt. Not to bad. Ive heard of worse, my freind did prereqs and all at Brookline...80k!

Yeah I had mine Monday, and all the above is where I am at as well. Thankful for that scholarship. Now if only I can maintain it throughout the nursing program...

I honestly would not stress over the HESI. It is extremly easy and I actual know someone that got in the low 60's and still got in.

But for some advice on study material I used [h=3]Admission Assessment Exam Review, 3e by HESI (2013)[/h][h=3]McGraw-Hill's 3 Evolve Reach (HESI) A2 Practice Tests[/h]

These books will prepare you for exactly what the Math, reading, writing grammar and vocab will be like. As for the science portions there is no book that can help you besides old anatomy and chem books. There are some good online practice test for the science sections. The science sections are just so broad its hard to narrow down.

Best of luck to you and don't stress it, you have plenty of time to prep. :-)

(rohrer88) Congratulations btw!!! Thanks sooo much for all your feedback!! I have a 3.8 and I suck at taking exams (I have really bad test anxiety:scrying:) so hopefully my GPA will help me get in. . .if not I'm also applying at PC just in case I don't make it in!!

Yes, there is a basic calculator that you can use on the computer and the whole test is timed... not each section. So you can pick what you want to do first. I did reading and math first since they take the longest.

Cool, thanks again!!
