Gcu fall 2014 hopefuls

Published

Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

look forward to hearing from yall

It takes about the same time as getting your RN from GCC. So you would enroll into one of the CCs here and also enroll into either NAU, ASU, or College of Phoenix. It's cheaper than applying to a University and there is no waiting list at all.

Ya that doesn't sound bad... But my employer will pay for me to get my BSN once I have my associates degree in nursing. So I think I might just wait! Where did you say you were going to go?

That's a pretty good deal. I'm going to apply to the U of A, the MCCCD CEP, and maybe ASU.

We got this!!

Has anyone taken the Christian Worldview prerequisite? Does that need to be completed before we start the program? What have you guys been told about it?

It's an online course. It is mostly guided discussions on the bible with some busy work thrown in. It is not hard but does require you to set aside some time for it.

Specializes in NICU.

Orientation tomorrow

how was it?

It was just the immunization meeting....... but they freaked me out about paying for school. Its so expensive!!!!!!!!! LOL But im sure it will all work out. So now its just getting my CPR and shot records updated before 8/1.

Same here. So expensive! I have my finance appointment tomorrow and just need to work on scheduling for my CPR classes.

I was told it was around 9,000 a semester... Is this about right?

my financial meeting was yesterday...9250 per semester. I got 7k in GCU scholarships though (presidential scholarship). Still, prob gonna have about 20-30k in student loan debt. Not to bad. Ive heard of worse, my freind did prereqs and all at Brookline...80k!

pretty excited about getting stated

Ok thank you. Lol brookdale seemed way over the top on pricing, one reason why I didn't attend that school.
