Hello Everyone,
I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.
look forward to hearing from yall

Has anyone scheduled their finance appointment yet?
I haven't yet. I am not sure how this is supposed to happen either. Do we contact someone for an appointment or does someone contact us? With the information regarding tuition showing up on our portal, and the questions I have regarding financial aid etc… I am very interested in having this financial appointment. I am going to email my advisor about this on Monday. But if anyone has any input about this, maybe has spoken with their advisor already..I would be interested in hearing what you know.
Ugh...I am so sorry, that has to be hard! Here's hoping you are able to land a spot before school starts. Did they tell you where you fall on the alternate list?
Thanks.. And yes it sucks.. But luckily I was already accepted into the nursing program at Glendale community college.. So I'm still starting this august just going to take me a bit longer to get my BSN. They are going to tell me sometime this up coming week what number I am on the alternate list.
rohrer88,
Besides tuition, you have to buy gcu scrubs (I got two pairs for about $100), books (I got ebooks for approx $400), stethoscope ($30). I have spent an extra $100 on supplemental books for pharmacology and health assessment.
Sophie15,
Our schedule is Tuesday 12-4, Wednesday 8-2:30, Thursday 9-3:30 and Friday 8-12. On top of class I probably spend about 20-30 hours a week studying, reading, and doing assignments. This program is very focused on writing, and most assignments incorporate APA style. Last week we had 2 writing assignments, 1 exam, 1 presentation, and 1 lab quiz. Myself and about half of my classmates work on top of school. A lot of people have young children and they seem to be managing well. You can choose to have a student mentor for a higher level which I have found to be a fantastic resource as well.
