Gcu fall 2014 hopefuls

Published

Hello Everyone,

I know it is extremely early in the year but, the May deadline will be here before we know it. I wanted to see if there is anyone out there applying for GCU specifically in Tucson but, also in phoenix. I want to hear your experiences with the application process and the new Hesi A2 exam. I am planing on taking my Hesi A2 at the end of March.

look forward to hearing from yall

Congratulations everyone on your acceptance! I am in level one right now over at the AT Still campus. I just wanted to give you all some advice - spend as much time with your friends and family as you can right now because once school starts your life will revolve around nursing. If you have any questions feel free to private message me!

Congrats again!

Thank you! My biggest question besides the actual cost of tuition is what all do we need supplies wise.... like a stethoscope...and what else?

I'm definitely glad I am taking the summer off to spend with family and friends :-)

Hello jmcampb3!

Congrats to you as well! I was accepted to the AT still campus as well. Could you share what a typical week looks like as far readings, coursework and your overall schedule? I'm sure not every week will be the same, but I'm curious about what you've experienced so far as a level I student. Thanks so much!

So…i checked my student portal on GCU website and there have been some changes. THe tuition due is posted as well as the schedule. :)

Good to know. Is there an option to create an account? I don't have an account yet. Ill see what I can find too...

Does anyone actually know when classes start in Tucson? I haven't seen anything about that yet and I can't get onto my GCU portal.

So I was chosen as an alternate.. :((. Is that like a nice way of saying I wasn't accepted?

There is a chance that you get in. Say you're #3 on the alternate list, 3 people would have to drop out in order for you to get in. With that you won't have the same opportunities as the people who were accepted, like you will be notified short notice and have to figure out payment and stuff. You also will have to go to whatever location has an opening.

I'm an alternate as well, I was a little sad but got over it super quickly! Keep your hopes up, there is always a chance that someone drops. Also GCU is not the only nursing school in Arizona.

So go though with everything and you never know, you may just be starting in the Fall at GCU!

So glad I'm not the only one.. Ugh I hate all this waiting... Again!! What location did you apply for?

I applied to AT Still. But I don't think I'm going to play the waiting game with them anymore haha

I'm sure you will get in though. But if you're thinking about trying for the Spring or Summer semesters talk to your adviser and kindly ask what criteria you didn't meet that kept you from making it into the Fall semester.

When I got accepted to the college initially I got a email with a link to set up the account. I would check your email or even spam to see if they sent you a email.

If not I would call the tech help #. I've had to call before they may be able to help.
