Hi this is just a general forum that I wanted to start for the 2017 Gateway Community College Applicants. I just wanted to share my Stats and see what others are looking like as well. Also, does anyone have any updates about gateways conditional status? Is so please shares

Teas: 74.5

AnP I: A-

AnP II: B-

nusing GPA: 3.1

Hi all! So, I just submitted my application to GWCC for 2017.

My stats look like this.

TEAS V Score: 84.7%

A&P I Grade: A

Nursing GPA: 3.8

I am in such a dilemma 😔 I am looking to apply to Gateway as my first choice and Norwalk as my second choice come Febuary. I have been in contact with Norwalk's nursing director and have shared my stats with him which are: GPA 3.6, A in AP1 and a 68% on my Teas. He mentioned last year the average acceptance GPA was a 3.5. He also mentioned getting an A in AP will help me a lot when it comes to ranking. My dilemma is now my Teas. He said the average accepted last year was in the low 70's. I am now trying decide if I should try one last time on the Teas to improve my school or leave it as if it is. He said scoring a couple of points higher on the Teas won't make a big difference on acceptance but it could make a difference on getting in within the top 60 vs getting wait listed.

I am really stuck on what to do about the Teas. Should I retake it? Or should I let it be since my other stats are so good?

Any advice would be great!

I mean it couldn't hurt to retake the TEAS again if time permits. Worse case scenario is you score lower or the same and you just have your original score sent.

My final stats are:

AP1-A

GPA- 3.68

TEAS-72

Good luck everyone- I just applied

nursing gpa 3.97

ap 1 - A

teas- 66 í ½í¸¤ I took it twice and got worse the second time around after studying. Hoping my other stats will get me in!

im not sure how to calculate the nursing gpa but I did get an A in A&PII and a b+ in Micro?

If anyone knows students who've been accepted in the past and their stats that'd be appreciated

Hello all!

I am in another thread with a couple of you as well but I wanted to hop on this one and see if anyone had any information regarding their admissions decision from gateway specifically as we proceed through the next couple of weeks. I applied to GWCC and my credentials are as follows:

A+P1: A

TEAS: 86.7

GPA: 3.3 (could be slightly higher but not sure if they'll accept my psych class or if they calculate in the proficiency computer exam if u took that instead of the class)

I'm super nervous about getting accepted and not waitlisted!

Hey- I applied to gateway too. I know a lot of my friends in the program now found out last year on April 5th, so I'm assuming it will be the first week in April . Good luck!

Hi! My friend got in last year with an A in AP1, 68 teas, and 3.6 gpa. I know people that got in with way less as well.

@Samantha61212 do you know anyone with rather lower stats that got in? Were any of your friends waitlisted and then accepted and if so what were their stats? I'm so nervous as it is now April!!!
