gateway community college ct nursing applicants 2017

Published

Hi this is just a general forum that I wanted to start for the 2017 Gateway Community College Applicants. I just wanted to share my Stats and see what others are looking like as well. Also, does anyone have any updates about gateways conditional status? Is so please shares

Teas: 74.5

AnP I: A-

AnP II: B-

nusing GPA: 3.1

Yes! I know people that were waitlisted up to number 20 and got in. They say If your 20 or under you have a good chance. You have to remember there is also lottery of 20% that get in. What are your stats? Did you complete any of the co reqs? I'm nervous too í ½í¸«

I listed my stats earlier a couple posts ago but I have an A in A/P1, a 3.3 GPA and an 86.7 on the TEAS. I'm hoping it's competitive enough to get a seat in the program without getting waitlisted. As for the co reqs I've only taken micro which I actually ended up only getting a C+ in which isn't good. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Great teas score! Good luck- I check my student email every hour lol too check for decisions to be posted.

Hey all! does anyone know when Gateway is going to send out admission decisions?? GCC is my first choice but my backup school requires a decision if i'm going to accept my place by next week :nailbiting:

@nicole1235 I've heard tomorrow or by the end of this week. What are your stats if you don't mind me asking?

Is anyone else checking their email constantly?! So nerve wracking!!! Here are my stats...

Nursing GPA: 3.81

TEAS: 84%

AP1: B

AP2: A

I hope we all find out soon! Best of luck to everyone :)

I'm following a different forum and some people found out today they were waitlisted. You're either going to get in or waitlisted. If you were not eligible for the program you would have found out in March. All eligible students are ranked, 75% are given seats by rank, 25% are random selection and the rest are waitlisted.

I saw that a lot of those that got an answer were for other cc's. did you get an email yet? Or a decision?

For everyone waiting for Gateway info:

Under Selective programs... Check your NURSING REQUIRED ITEMS.

Right above the "Application Information" section there should be a little white box with writing that DOESN'T stand out at all.

My box says...

The selection process for the 2017-2018 academic year has been completed. You are currently on the waitlist of your college of first choice. You will be sent additional information regarding your waitlist number in the mail. If you have further questions upon receipt of your waitlist number, please consult with the contact person at your college of first choice listed below.

Again, this box DID NOT appear noticeable to me at all, I have no idea how long it has been posted there, I literally check every hour...

Also I know you're all going to ask so you can compare stats...

Nursing GPA: 3.81

TEAS: 84

AP1: B

AP2: A

Best of luck everyone :(

Nothing yet! I emailed two people and they both said the 6th

@FERN2be that sucks im sorry to hear that. You should be pretty close to the top of the waitlist though so don't lose hope! I'm wondering if all waitlisted applicants were notified today and all accepted applicants tomorrow...

Everyone check your commnet!

Decisions have been posted í ½í¸
