Gaston College Lpn 2018

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Good evening,

Who all applied for the Lpn program starting this August 2018 at Gaston College?

Yeah it must have been really competitive this year. I had 3 transcripts sent from 3 different schools too. Do y'all know what average we have to maintain in the nursing program is it a 80? Or a 70?

I'm not sure, I hope its a 70, but I'm almost certain its 80.

Ahhh. Makes me so nervous. That is a lot.

Me too, but we got this!!!!

Hmm, does it say anything on the Gaston site under the LPN program? I thought it was a "C" or better. I dont have access to a computer so I cant verify. I wish orientation was next month!! Theres so much I want to know í ½í¸‚

I haven't had a chance to look, however I know most nursing programs are different from the rest of the actual colleges 10 pt scale. Most programs are on a 7pt scale versus 10 pts. So it may be possible for the passing score to be at least a 77-78. I'll check and see what the grading scale is.

I found it; "In addition to maintaining a 2.0 GPA and earning a minimum grade of "C" in all nursing curriculum courses"

Yes, I'm half way done with my check list (with what's due by 6/21). I too am trying to figure out where the HIPAA and OSHA information is located. I even went to Blackboard to see if it could be up there, but it's not. Besides those two I still need my drug test, TB, physical, MMR imm., CPR and that's all. I called Mrs. Burgess and left a message about a question regarding Castlebranch, so hopefully she'll call me back tomorrow. ?

Have you heard back from her at all?

Thanks for the reminder! She called back yesterday as a matter of fact, but said that she does not know too much about Castle branch. She recommended me emailing (I can't put her name on this post), but the faculty member that is currently out of the office until April 30th. That info should be on your acceptance letter/email.

Yay I'm glad you were able to get in! I chose the day option.. I plan to work part time somehow, but does anyone know of any scholarships or funding available?? I'm currently searching
