funny story

Last night at work we had yet another "honorary full moon." More than the usual amount of sundowners circled around my med cart.

As I give them their meds, oddly enough they start to disperse. Except for one....she says

"What about me?"

I say "I'm sorry Miss Mary, but I can't give you anything, Ann is your nurse tonight."

Miss Mary: "Well can't you just make a mistake and give me something anyhow?"

:omy:

I love our rezzies....

and thats why you are loved! that is very cute

Good one! I love it when the residents have a good sense of humor, and especially when they crack jokes on their own!

I gave a shot to a woman who is in her 90's the other day, and she simply said "OWW."

I thought that was so funny sounding.

Then she told me I could have the rest of her water, and she wanted "me to drink it now, while she watched me."

Now that was funny!

And that's what keeps us coming back!! I use sense of humor a lot with my rsidents and most of them 99% give it right back. Laughter is a beautiful thing for everyone.

Whenever we have a 'full moon' it usually results in wandering naked, escape attempts, shouting at each other and raiding the biscuit barrell (and that is just the residents!).

Our full moon night was a shocker, but that's a different story...

I had one LOL in a similar situation say "That's all right dear, Iwon't tell anyone!"
