Fun question: Do you wear rings on the job?

No rings to work right now, although when I do get married will wear my wedding band.

i wear 4. My wedding ring, my college ring, my high school class ring and a saphire ring that my husband gave me for our first anniversary. lots of the nurses at work wear rings, so we keep several toothbrushes stashed in drawers to clean the insides of rings and under stones if needed. no skin tears... im careful to watch that only the palms of my hands are near the patient, not the prongs of my rings.

I wear one smooth white gold ring with inlaid stones that my mom gave me on my 21st birthday, but no other rings, until I get married next year, then I will wear my wedding ring. I'm trying to find a smooth style engagement and band set that won't get caught on gloves etc. I'm having a hard time finding one though.

Hubby had my ring designed and custom made by a former patient of ours. I only have the wedding ring, not an engagement ring. I have one stone channel set in gold -- it's very low and has no prongs to catch on anything. Some day, I'm going to have an anniversary ring made to match with tiny little channel-set diamonds. A co-worker of mine has a very similar ring to my wedding ring as her engagement ring with a plain gold wedding band. It looks fabulous, and like mine, doesn't scratch, catch on or tear anything.

I used to wear rings, but my skin under the rings kept getting irritated. Wash my hands too much I guess.

For the most part, the only jewelry that I wear is my water proof watch. On occasion, I'll wear a necklace or my rings but mostly nekkid of jewelry except the watch. A necessary item and I feel quite nekkid and lost with out it.

Don't wear any jewelery but my Teddy bear watch. It is a little metal teddy bear with the watch face in it's tummy so cute. I don't have to work in Paeds to have it appreciated either as so many patients have asked to look at it and loved it!!

I wear my mother's ring and a ring my mom gave me. I consider them part of me and I can only get one of them off, anyway!

Never took my wedding ring of in 29 yrs, and could only get it off when my hand were reeaallly cold. Then I learned to scrub and had to have them re-sized. That cost more than the original price of the whole set (never wore the engagement ring at work) so if I scrub, all, including the watch are off, otherwise if I am doing pt care, just my watch and plain band are on.

no watch and I put my rings on my necklace at work.. I really think that rings collect bacteria.. also short short nails, well scrubbed ..
