Just starting this thread up! This is for anyone planning on applying to FSW in the fall for Spring 2019 at FSW.

I'm currently finishing up my pre-reqs this summer 2018 term and will be taking the TEAS in the fall as well as applying to the program at the Lee Campus.

Reply back with,

What campus you are planning on applying to?

What classes you are trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format you will be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam or how did you do?

Excited to hear from you guys and to help each other out!

What are the requirements for Keiser ?

I didn't even think about Keiser. I have heard they are pretty expensive but I didn't even look into it. What does the fast track look like? Is it similar to Galen? I know they have a fast track BSN program too but its too far from me.

For the BSN Fast Track you need at least 60 credits of college coursework from an accredited college/university with a GPA of 3.0 or better (or High School GPA of 3.2 or better), SAT of 1150 (if taken 05/2016 or later) or 1590 (if taken earlier than 05/2016) or ACT of 23 or Wonderlic of 25.

Prereqs are:

Eng Comp I & II

College Algebra

Statistics

Intro to Psych

Lifespan Development

A&P I & II

Gen Chem w/ Lab

Microbiolgy

Humanities

(2) General Electives

Once those are complete, then you also need 3 letters of recommendation, a resume and you have to complete a writing assignment. Once those are complete, then you interview with the Director of Nursing at whatever campus you applied.

They also have an accelerated ADN program (16 months straight through). I am not sure what the requirements are for that, though.

It is significantly more expensive, but I am working on getting scholarships to reduce the cost.

I don't know what Galen's track looks like and I only have a list of the courses for Keiser. I can tell you that the Nursing Major Core Courses is 76 credits and it is completed in 4 x 4 month terms. Clinicals are started in the first term. It looks intense, but I think it'll be worth it.

Sometimes there are too many options! Hopefully one of them will come through =) thanks for the info! I'll be coming back if I have any more questions. Good luck!!

Thank you! Good luck to you, as well. Feel free to PM me anytime.

Hi guys. Does anyone know when we'll find out if we got accepted into the program? I know the app deadline is Oct 12.

No more than 4 weeks after the deadline.

Thank you. Do you know if they are accepting 48 students per campus ?

hey everyone! i applied a few weeks ago for the traditional ASN schedule at the Lee campus. i have all the prereqs done at FGCU and i've taken the TEAS twice, 86% on my best attempt with about a 3.3 transfer gpa. anyone know how long you usually hear an update from them about drug testing/background checks?

Last spring they accepted 96 at Lee, 48 at Collier and 24 at Charlotte. But I believe they accepted another 24 at Charlotte for the ANEW program this fall. So, should be at least 48 slots per campus.
