FSW Spring 2018

Published

It's a bit early, I know. I just wanted to start a thread for all of those looking down the road planning to apply to FSW this fall for the spring 2018 program start..

I'm planning on applying to the Charlotte campus for the Evening/Weekend (ANEW) schedule format.

What campus are you planning on applying to?

What classes are you trying to finish up before applying in Sept/Oct?

What program schedule format will you be choosing (Daytime or evening/weekend)?

Did you take the TEAS VI exam and how did you do?

I look forward to the discussion over the next few months!!

I am getting a rolling book bag for sure. I heard the heavy books are hard on your back if you don't. Also, I talked to Chris on Monday and he said to go to Castlebranch through the same email we got accepted from and purchase the medical document manager. It is $30 and has everything we need to do next on it. I have already got started on mine since I am trying to divide up the costs of this as best I can. It'll all be included in the orientation packet that'll be given out Tuesday. I am just a head start kind of person and figured I'd let ya'll know.

Thanks for that info. Is that $30 medical manager a mandatory purchase?

Does anyone plan on getting a rolling book-bag? Is it needed? I tend to see lots of nursing students with rolling book-bags.

For those of us in the ANEW program, does anyone know how many books we will need to bring for our 3 hours on-campus weekly class? Are we going to need to bring the books for all 3-4 classes?

I believe so. It has all of our consent forms on it such as the one acknowledging you have read the handbook, patient/student confidentiality, etc...also your cpr certification and health insurance must be uploaded there.

Cool, I just purchased my medical manager as well. I'm going to start getting things knocked out too.

I did the same. I'm going to redo my BLS I don't think RedCross is AHA certified.

Hi classmates, I was wondering if anyone had any info on the traditional schd for Collier... how many days a week... est class times...? ... my employer wants a heads up. ThX for any help w this.

I don't know the details but I think you can go ahead and sign into the portal and search for classes to add and you will see the available days and times for Collier in Spring 2018... I looked into it for the evening schedule just to get an idea as well.

How do we know which classes to sign up for? I didn't know we could choose already! Did I miss an email?

The classes we will be signing up for will all be sent out in the November 28 email. All of orientation stuff and everything else we will need will be sent the 28th

We can't register for classes yet. I just browsed what will be offered...
