FSW spring 2017

Published

Anybody applying for the nursing program at FSW for the spring in 2017? I plan to take my TEAS sometime August or September, does anyone know what the passing score is? And have you finished all your prerequisites and general ed? The only prereqs I have left to do is A&P2, nutrition, and micro. But still have all the general eds left to do. But you don't have to have all the general eds finished before applying right? Sorry, I'm new at this.

Hey guys! Im applying with a 3.2 GPA and an 80 on the TEAS with all my prerecs done. I dont know how many points that gives me, but I applied for Fall here and didnt get in.. but crossing my fingers for this semester! My first choice is lee then collier... does anyone know about the background check and drug test we need to submit before the applcation deadline?

Hi! The only thing I know about it is that you have to pay out of pocket for them but not until after the application. Once you are selected a finalist you do the drug test and background check.

You have 65 points based off of those numbers :)

I'm applying with 63 points. 3.32 GPA, 82 teas, and 6 classes done. Charlotte first choice, then Lee, then Collier.

Caleman how did you do on the test today?!

Hey! I'm applying for Spring 2017 at the Collier campus as my first choice. Have you guys submitted your applications yet?

Hey! I did last week. Charlotte 1st choice, then Lee, then collier. 63 points total. Did you make any other campus choices? Do you mind sharing your points ?? Glad to see someone else posting! This thread is so quiet!

I put Lee and second and Charlotte as my third. I believe I'm around 80 points. I got a 82.7 on my Teas. I hope other people begin to respond so we can get a better idea of the application pool. I just want to find out already!!!! The wait is the worst!!!

I also heard there is an interview, this is a new component so it makes me a little anxious lol

I literally was just asking the Fall class if they had to do an interview. It definitely seems the process is more involved now.

80 points is great!! You must have a really good GPA. I also got 82 TEAS but my GPA is only 3.32 and only 6 classes done. I'm so anxious!! It would be really nice to at least have an idea. I know my points are low but I know it also depends on the pool. I want to get in so badly. Arrrrghhhhh!!

Yeah my gpa was what seem to bring me up. However, its not unheard of to get in with 63 points. The teas was pretty tough. And as far as I know the interview is new for this round of applications. Who knows maybe it will be a good thing lol, trying to stay positive

Thad exactly what I'm trying to do! So hard though. Lol. I do know I at least have a chance. It's hard to compare this semester with previous because everything changed for this one. Last admission cycle had HESI and the older TEAS. I'm sure you are more than fine with your points- I wouldn't sweat it even one bit!! :)

Sorry I also forgot to mention that I do have my LPN license. I just found out the point system changed a bit for lpns, so that's why I have about 80 points. However without my license boosting my points I had 73 points before which is what I anticipated applying with. A lady at the admissions office said she thinks I would get in with 73. Also my friend with good marks has 75 points. So I can't imagine traditional applicants having much higher than that unless they blow the teas out of the water lol. So basically I just wanted to give you some perspective because you really do have a possibility of getting in especially if you are open to all the campuses. Sorry for the ramble lol
