FSW spring 2017

Published

Anybody applying for the nursing program at FSW for the spring in 2017? I plan to take my TEAS sometime August or September, does anyone know what the passing score is? And have you finished all your prerequisites and general ed? The only prereqs I have left to do is A&P2, nutrition, and micro. But still have all the general eds left to do. But you don't have to have all the general eds finished before applying right? Sorry, I'm new at this.

I bought a set of 3 scrubs for $81. I forgot to ask about the lab coat... oops. I'll get that tomorrow or something and I'm planning on buying to polos at the bookstore just because I'm gonna be there tomorrow also.

My friend that started the program last semester said we need/use all books in the first semester.

Question: If I don't have health insurance; I'm supposed to be able to get that by the 14th? And does share of cost medicaid count for this? Does anyone know? í ½í¸‚

Not sure if it counts, but you can go onto healthcare.gov and see what options they have for you.

Does anyone know if I can get a TB test somewhere other than my primary doctor? They're booked past the 14th ☹️

I have two doctors just in case I can't get in somewhere. Do you have another GP you can go to?

Also, I heard back about the books and he did say that we may use each book in each semester for different concepts taught. So the bundle is definitely the best way to go.

So I got accepted into the Charlotte campus but a seat opened in collier. I don't know what to do!!! decisions, decisions....

I went for my PPD test to Lee Memorial Health by Cape Coral Hospital, $15, no appointment required...I am getting my physical there too on Wed ($25)

I don't think this is mandatory as it have you the option to just pick "no health insurance". I can't see why it would be. I know we carry that is covered by the school from our tuition. I think I read somewhere that we may be eligible for discounted health insurance through the student nurse association... Maybe that's why the ask.

Oh wow!! Is Collier closer for you??

@dani1951 it is a little bit closer to me than the Punta Gorda campus. I really like both campuses but I think the Collier will keep me in better distance with my family so I accepted this morning with Edna.

Aw! Well even though I'm sad to lose a classmate, I'm very happy for you that it will allow you to stay close to your family :)
