Anybody applying for the nursing program at FSW for the spring in 2017? I plan to take my TEAS sometime August or September, does anyone know what the passing score is? And have you finished all your prerequisites and general ed? The only prereqs I have left to do is A&P2, nutrition, and micro. But still have all the general eds left to do. But you don't have to have all the general eds finished before applying right? Sorry, I'm new at this.
Also to add to the uniform discussion, we went yesterday and they told us to make sure we tell classmates to come in ASAP to make sure you have them in time.
I ordered two sets of scrubs, two polos, and a lab coat. That all will come to right around $150 embroided so the school was pretty accurate with their cost. That was with the 20% discount.
Are these prices embroidered? Was the purple polo from the bookstore or did they have it at Hamilton's too?
Im pretty sure the bookstore polos are more expensive, but not 100% on this. I know that regular ( with FSW logo not nursing) polos at the bookstore run $30. Hamiltons come to $20 with the embroidery.
So do we have to go into hamiltons to order the scrubs or can we go online and order them or even call?
And do we just go in and basically show them the paper Chris sent us and say this is what we need? How did you know to get two polos and scrubs and stuff or was that just for your personal preference?
this ^ :)
it's best to go in and try them on. You can't order over the phone with them. You could order the correct scrubs online from somewhere but it cost $10 each to embroider instead of $6. The ladies in port Charlotte are very nice and helpful. Bring your paper or have it on your phone, after you tell them what you want they will get them for you to try.
it was just my preference to order that many. I figured I wanted to have a backup set of scrubs and a backup polo.. In case of something getting ruined. The lab coat is optional but it was only $20 and I'm always freezing at the hospital I work at.

Yep! This is exactly how it works! You can also fax them in if you don't have a scanner... They give you face sheets that can be printed and sent with each individual document.
Brownie10909 - if you mean how do you go about getting the immunizations, if you have a primary care doctor already then that would be the best option ( print your list of requirements and bring it in). That way you can have titers drawn to see what you need. The health department can also do all of them. Publix, CVS, and Walgreens also do vaccines, but I don't think they draw titers so this won't be a good option unless you know what you need already. Ikauffman told me that Millenenium does a student physical for $35 and they also do the PPD skin test.
