Who is planning to enroll in the nursing program for Spring 2016?
So who is joining me? It's going to be a long process and I simply can not wait to get into the nursing program.
I hope to apply into Lee and get. I haven't taken my HESI yet out of nerves, but have to swallow that pill soon in order to apply.
I'm resurrecting an older thread here in hopes of getting some feedback. Now that you guys are half way through the program, what are your impressions so far? Is there anything you would have done differently through this year?
I'm hoping to start at FSW for spring 2018 and I'd like to be as informed as I can.
Hi FuturenurseM2018!
I was accepted for Fall 2017 which is literally in less than two weeks! I was scrolling through this thread which has a ton of helpful information. I have a question if you wouldn't mind answering about the Bundled Package that the bookstore is offering. I'm definitely going to purchase the Textbook portion, since I have financial aid to cover for it. But I'm wondering is the ATI Carp review & examination package ($565) actually required? Like what is it exactly? Are there specific assignments on there from our instructors or is it just more of a beneficial study type of thing. I'm just trying to figure out whether to purchase it or not, if it is something that isn't required. I'm trying to save any little money that I can. I would really appreciate your help! Thank you so much :)
Congratulations on getting into the Nursing program! Unfortunately, they changed the whole curriculum starting with the class behind us (those who started Fall 2016 and will graduate Spring 2018). So there is no way for any of us to really know how the new program works or what is required. Maybe see if you can get in touch with people from one of the newer cohorts.
Best wishes for success in the program!

I'm just renting the Pharmacology book for Fall until I find out what our professor on the Collier campus will be using. This way I have the book ahead of time and if it turns out we need software access I'm sure it can be purchased separately. I've never seen access codes you couldn't buy directly from the publisher, and sometimes they're cheaper that way.
Worst case scenario, it turns out I will have to purchase a new book/code bundle and I'm only out the $22 I rented it for. Totally worth it for me. Sometimes I've also emailed a professor ahead of time to ask if it's okay to purchase an older edition, or if we will actually be required to use the access card the bookstore has listed. That's always an option too.
