Hi everyone! Just wanted to get a topic started on FSW's Fall 2019 cycle. The application deadline is May 15th. Here are my stats:
When this spring semester ends, I will have taken 8 out of the 9 pre-reqs. (3.62 GPA) I plan on taking A & P II in the summer. I am also taking the TEAS for the first time in May. I am a little stressed that I'm cutting it too close to the deadline and taking the TEAS without A & P II. My #1 choice is Collier ANEW, #2 is Lee ANEW.
Anybody else out there applying for Fall?
Hey guys just letting you all know the school usually gives you a few days to order your books, because they know it can be hectic. It also depends on the professor but you won’t use the book on the first day of orientation. From my understanding the program has a lot of changes including, books, professors, uniform & etc. Hopefully you all wrote your questions & ask them on the first day of orientation. If you have questions about anything other than books (since it was changed) I will try to answer them.
Good luck to you all.

Clinical doesn't start until about a month in. I never received official verification on this but if that's the case you should have enough time to get the embroidery done.

You will first do the background check, fingerprints, and drug test. Then once that's approved you will do all of this checklist.
These are the immunizations
1. Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
2. Varicella (Chicken Pox)
3. Hepatitis B
4. Hepatitis B 2nd Action
5. Tuberculosis (TB)
6. Tetorifice, Diphtheria & Pertussis (TDaP)
7. CPR Certification (You scan in your BLS card once you complete this)
8. Health Insurance (scan in your health insurance card to show proof of insurance)
9. Influenza
10. Physical Examination (This is just a simple physical exam, the first half is just reiterating the fact that you have the above vaccinations and immunizations.)
below are just documents you sign and upload to your Castlebranch account.
11. Handbook Acknowledgment
12. Confidentiality Statement
13. Code of Conduct
14. Informed Consent
15. Confidentiality Agreement & Media Release
It does seem like a lot of things to do prior to starting school but they're simple to complete.
Hep B 2nd action, is going to the lab to have blood drawn to prove you have actually received this vaccine, or you can simply sign the waiver stating you aren't going to get this.

Sorry I meant total was $1990! Plus this extra fee of $113 so mine is a little over 2k as well! They said it was an error and an extra lab fee that wasn’t included due Monday 12th. Also if you got the envelope for the ATI code from the bookstore you have to turn it into Edna in N-123 with the receipt (for Collier campus). I just went today and she said she needs them w your name on the envelope + receipt and turned in so our first day professor can give us the code ?
