Hi everyone! Just wanted to get a topic started on FSW's Fall 2019 cycle. The application deadline is May 15th. Here are my stats:

When this spring semester ends, I will have taken 8 out of the 9 pre-reqs. (3.62 GPA) I plan on taking A & P II in the summer. I am also taking the TEAS for the first time in May. I am a little stressed that I'm cutting it too close to the deadline and taking the TEAS without A & P II. My #1 choice is Collier ANEW, #2 is Lee ANEW.

Anybody else out there applying for Fall?

Does anyone know what shoes to wear for orientation this Friday? It just says khakis and the nursing polo for clothes. Thanks

I don’t think it matters too much. Edna made it seem like it was going to be really casual and she said it would be fun. She said a lot of students are nervous about orientation. But it’s more for us to ask questions and what not. Not sure what the entire day entails.

Do we take our ATI envelope to someone before our orientation this Friday? I am at the Charlotte campus and not sure who or where I would take it.

Yes you should drop the ATI code off before Friday, you'll get the access code on the first day of classes from your professor, they have to input some information prior to the start of classes. I would assume you'd drop it off to Wendy Morris @ E-107 (Jones Hall) on Charlotte campus. If not, she'll be able to tell you where to drop it off or someone in the nursing department.

Has anyone received a syllabus for any of the first semester courses yet? I know classes don't start until Monday but I am anxious to know what the semester is going to be like.

Just received my "book" in the mail. I thought it was a on a CD, so I bought an external reader from Amazon. Open up the DVD case and it's.... a business card with an access code LOL. .. making a return today.

For anyone wondering.. the access code is simple enough to register, as is the app -- VitalSource Bookshelf -- used on the computer/tablet/phone to read the textbooks.

You can bring in the ATI code on the first day of class to get it set up with Edna or Wendy. Just make sure they are going to be in the office since we have class later in the evening.

As for shoes at orientation. I'm probably going to wear white shoes and socks since that is the complete uniform we will be required to wear for our practicum, and they may point that out, but honestly I don't think they are going to make a big deal about it since it wasn't specifically mentioned.

They haven't posted the syllabus yet ? I'm anxious to read it over too!

For Charlotte campus, on Monday 19 I’m not sure we’re to go, which class. Anybody know?

Log into your FSW portal click student academics at the top --> student profile --> register & planning -->view schedule --> change term to Fall 2019 --> then scroll down to middle of the page it should show schedule and then schedule details (this is where you can see when and where each of your classes is)

Okay I did that. And it says Charlotte county hosp basically (clinicals) that are scheduled for Monday. But on the clinicals schedule it says we start the 21st.

I guess I’ll just ask tomorrow at orientation

Did you ever figure this out? I didn’t even notice that the orientation on the clinical schedule overlapped our class schedule. For Charlotte ANEW, it says we have orientation in room 102 from 5:30pm-10pm on Wednesday, 8/21, but also class on the same evening from 5pm-10pm in room 114?

I hope someone will reply to this post. Where are some of your clinical sites for Fall? Please let me know for all such as collier, lee, and port charlotte.
