Florida Southwestern State College formerly Edison State College. I started thread for FSW but it is full with spring applicants. So I decided to start a new one for this upcoming fall.
Who is joining me next fall in nursing?
I plan to apply for Part-time or Lee full time. I have one more semester of pre-requisites. I am taking A&P 1, Micro, College Algebra and Nutrition. Kill me now. lol A full time semester of craziness but almost done after that hopefully with pre-requisites with the exemption of A&P 2 and a humanities class.
I plan to take the Hesi in mid Feb or march and retake if needed at the end of April. Schedule has been posted and I plan to study a lot this winter break. So excited but so nervous.
I had a physical but she wouldn't do the vision test for me, the one on the attestation form since she said its for the people at the hospital to fill ,and I don't have one on record either /:
Im reading the attestation form now and it states (if needed by department for point of care testing involving color interpretation) I guess this is up to the school....are you color blind?
Also, i would take in the "new updates" email we got on 7/7 from sandra....have your doctor who performed the physical read #2....it says do not fill out the attestation form until you go to your health provider to take your physical examination. Once you get that data, you can transfer the info to the attestation form and turn that into our office with your health form. The sponser is LMHS, so dont worry about the signiture on that. They will sign it.
So this basically states that the color test should have been performed by the doctor who did the school physical....I'd check back...if not lee can do the school physical including the color test for $25

Okay thankyou ! I'll just go to lee and get another 😑
Hi everyone! Congrats on making it in! I just finished my first semester at Lee. I will graduate the nursing program in Dec. 2016. I read a little of this thread and saw people were asking about working. I just want to tell you that this program is SUPER intense, especially the first and last semesters (or so I've heard). I can tell you that the first semester is really, really hard. Like so hard that A&P seems like a walk in the park after that. They will tell you at orientation that if is at all possible to not work, that is what you should do. I would say about half of the people in my class worked, and almost all of them were struggling just to pass.
I'm not trying to discourage anyone. I loved every single minute of my first semester and I'm very excited to start up again. I just think you should have a realistic point of view going in.
I hope that helps!

Full or Part time?
I do have the dates, but I only thought I should put the new date (when I begin the series again) because on the form it says anti-hbs titer and I won't have documented proof that I'm immune. Is the anti-hbs mandatory? if its not I will most likely just put the original dates I got them in 1994/1997 and get the series again for my own sake.
Like Kat said, you need 3 shots. I got all mine in 1997 in the same year. Maybe since you took them too far apart, you aren't immune. Its not required to have Heb B but recommended, so its up to you if you want to start the series again or sign the waiver.
Full or Part time?
You mean working? Some were part time and some full time. The full timers really had a hard time, although there were a couple that worked overnight shifts Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. It can be done but you will be studying just about any time that you are not in class or working.
I personally did not work because I have 2 kids and am responsible for all the cooking, cleaning, house stuff, etc.

I'm sorry I was asking full or part time program.
Pockets.
