FSU Accelerated Spring 2012 hopefuls!

I will be applying for the spring 2012 as well...Making a 180 career change and have been taking pre-reqs since january. I am really banking on getting in. however, it sounds very competitive. I am pretty nervous but think my grades and resume are pretty damn good.

I just emailed Melinda and asked how many people applied for the ABSN 2012 program. She said there were 177 applicants and they accept roughly 34....yikes!

Yikes! Last year they said they had 80+ applicants and now it is 177! I'll be saying some prayers and crossing my fingers for us... But there is not anything we can do now except just wait and hope things turn out they want we want. I wonder if more people applied because they do not require the HESI now.

When I met with an someone from admissions in the spring she said almost half of the people who applied last year did not even meet the requirements,,,, lets hope that maybe more than half this year don't. Good Luck!

Hi all!! Good luck everyone applying... has anyone heard when we should hear about our acceptance? I spoke to an admissions counselor yesterday and they have already begun reviewing apps! ahh, any info greatly appreciated!

On a different post someone from a previous year said they heard around October 6th. I can't happen soon enough though....

good luck to everyone. I wasn't able to apply since my GPA wasn't high enough... :cry: FSU was my dream nursing program but i'm waiting an answer from my local community college.. hopefully everything will work out in the end!

Did all of you apply? Just wondering who did;0) Next month and we will find out who got in! I pray I did, but if not then I will be applying to UAB and maybe UF.

Hi everyone! :) So I called FSU today and they told me 177 people applied and they are only accepting 24 people. that's less than stated before. Just wanted to let ya'll know.

who did you talk to? An advisor? Why would they change it after people applied? Did they say when we would find out?

fsuandrea - I am sorry! I applied but now I am thinking I might not get in! My GPA (b/c they take ALL of anything you have ever taken) wasn't as high as I would have liked it to be. I was really upset when Melinda told me that they took it all rather than just the last 60 hours:crying2:
