I wanted to create a new thread for Summer 2017 hopefuls (it seems far away, but it will be here before we know it).
I am very excited to start this journey, but I have to finish a few more prereqs. I am wanting to buy a HESI A2 study book, but I am not sure which one to go with. Does anyone have any suggestions? I saw on one thread where a lady swore by Elsevier, but I want to make sure that is a good one before I buy it. Thanks in advance.
Hello! I too am planning on applying for summer 2017! I was hoping to apply for Spring but since deadlines are mid-semesters I won't quite make it. I only have a&p2 and Micro left for my pre-reqs. Does anyone have any clue as to how taxing these courses will be? I was debating taking them both over summer, since I am 20, married with no kids, unemployed as of right now (Since I've been in Canada the last year) I don't imagine it would be too difficult? Then I could spend spring taking classes to finish my A.A. and take the HESI.
If you can take 2+ classes at a time I would recommend H&P 1 and Chemistry (since both are pre reqs for the other 2 sciences) then take H&P 2 with Micro, and the math can be done with either sets of classes- as you wish.

tsking micro over summer and the HESI, but micro won't count for spring and I may have to re take my anatomy classes because I only pulled Cs in those.
Im currently a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist working in the Cath Lab and I'm hoping to get into the night program as I work in the lab during the week and I also take call.
So my plan was to take AP2 in Summer, and a 12 week Micro course in fall- well, I just spoke to an advisor and there are no 12 week courses in fall that would be finished in time before the December 1st application deadline for the summer cohort. I'm so frustrated and stressed now.
Has as anyone taken ap2 & micro together before? If this certain professor I'm trying to get has a spot open up after the payment deadline, I am going to sign up. But I'm really nervous of taking 2 labs while working.. I've done good in ap1 while working full time and haven't had an issue but not sure if two labs will be too much over summer.. Any advice?
That was also my plan... how unfortunate. However I am still under the impression that you can apply for the program if you are only missing Microbiology. (:
Looks like I'll be missing points from microbiology as well. I think I'm only gonna apply for UNF in summer anyways cause I really just want to go for my BSN
Thats what I thought as well, however the application I have says the courses that must be completed prior to the program and Micro is listed under it. I'm wondering if I may have an outdated packet?
J.Molina I was considering the same thing but I wont have my full AA completed until spring
I have a pretty recent packet, for the last year and it says that it must be completed. But I've checked forums from other semesters and they have said it could be completed in the semester you apply.
Okay well awesome, I'm gonna go with that too because I've seen it from numerous people as well haha :) well, I guess if I'm not able to get in this summer class then I will just stick with my original plan and hope for the best!!
so ready to just be in the program already! Thank goodness for this site with people who are working on the same thing lol helps my sanity
